Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about CCTV, home automation, fire alarm, networking and how KRISHNA AUTOMATION works on projects.

General

Getting Started with KRISHNA AUTOMATION

Understand how to start a project, what information to share, and how site surveys, quotations and installation are handled.

You can start by sharing basic details through the contact form or WhatsApp - property type, approximate area, number of floors and what you want to secure or automate. Our team will review this, suggest a rough budget range and then schedule a site visit if needed.

For most residential and small commercial projects, an initial site survey within our primary service area is either free or adjusted against the final project value. Larger or outstation sites may attract a nominal visit charge, which is informed in advance.

Typically we need the property layout or rough sketch, number of entry/exit points, areas that must be covered, approximate camera or device count, any preferred brands, and whether remote viewing or integration with existing systems is required.

CCTV & Security

CCTV System Questions

Common questions on camera types, storage, remote viewing and maintenance for CCTV systems.

Dome cameras are compact and discreet, usually used indoors or under canopies. Bullet cameras are more visible and suited for covering longer distances outdoors. Functionally both can be HD or IP with IR, but the form factor and mounting locations differ.

Recording days depend on camera resolution (MP), number of cameras, frame rate and hard disk size. As a thumb rule, a typical 8-16 camera small commercial system with a 2-4 TB surveillance HDD can store around 15-30 days of footage with standard settings.

Yes. Most modern NVR/DVR and IP cameras support secure mobile viewing through brand apps. You need a stable internet connection at the site, proper router configuration and a smartphone with the app installed and authorised login.

Automation & Fire

Home Automation & Fire Alarm

Answers to basic questions on smart home setups and fire alarm systems for homes and businesses.

A typical home automation system can include lighting control, fan and AC control, curtain/blind control, smart locks, scene control keypads, and integration with CCTV, doorphones and voice assistants depending on your budget and platform.

We work on both. For new builds we coordinate with your architect and electrical contractor. For existing homes and offices we can use a mix of Wi-Fi, retrofit and wired solutions to minimise civil work while still improving comfort and safety.

Even small offices, clinics and shops benefit from basic fire detection - such as smoke or heat detectors with sounders - especially where people or goods are present for long hours. In many cases, local fire norms or insurance conditions may also require it.

Networking & Support

Network, Internet & After-Sales

Questions about internet dependency, networking hardware and ongoing support or AMC.

CCTV recording, local NVR access and most automation scenes continue to work on-site even if internet fails, as long as power and internal network are available. Internet mainly affects remote viewing, cloud features and mobile app control.

Yes. After the standard warranty period, we can provide annual maintenance contracts (AMC) or per-visit support to keep cameras, recorders, fire panels and automation systems working reliably and updated as needed.
